Yeah, I know. This is getting old. Here’s the situation. Lucy’s working almost full time now AND trying to write a novel AND trying to raise two kids AND teaching a class every Sunday afternoon AND trying to stay married. She cries a lot. So Alastair and I suggested she take a hiatus from PopD and she said, “Let-me-think-YES.” As it happens, Alastair and I like Sunday afternoons. So we’re moving it to Sunday afternoons at 2PM ET, chat starts at 1:30PM ET. It’s not date night, it’s not during church, most people aren’t working then, it’s not impossibly late for Europe or impossibly early for the left coast, and we like it.
Please put all complaints below. Thank you. Also, Lucy says she’ll see you later. Mwah.

I’m OK with the change. I usually work Sundays, but will show up when I can. ๐
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I might be able to make that work. I’ll have to duke out the alone time with dh since he usually ends up napping on the couch in a post-church coma.
starting when? I’m missing Italian Job tonight anyway. Sad, I know;)
Way better than Friday nights! And it gives me an excuse to get away from Sunday afternoon chores, too! (Of course, we’ll have to see how well that goes over: “Sorry, honey – I’d love to help, but I need to watch a movie right now…”)
My only issue is that Alastair is threatening my token male status. But I guess I can cope.
Starts with Sneakers next week. It was too close to Friday to change this week.
At least I won’t also miss Sneakers. I don’t know how it happened but I ended up with things to do 2 Friday nights in a row. My life is just not this exciting:)
wait… Jenny is awake at 9am? still up or up already?
YAY!!!!! I can make it again sometimes!!! ๐
I think the only times I won’t will be when we go out to lunch, usually with E’s grandmother, since that’ll be at 1 my time.
But…it’s far more convenient that the 6-my-time on Fridays. ๐
Lots of stress here so I haven’t been sleeping all that well. I’m up all the time now.
Of course, sooner or later, I’m going to crash . . .
This is a little less convenient than Fridays at 7 pm but then again, I haven’t been that great at making it to Fridays either. I’m going to miss this week’s probably and next weekend is booked Saturday and Sunday. (Quilt show being put on by my guild. I’m chair of awards. I must be there Sunday.) Which rather stinks because I remember loving Sneakers.
Mwah! back at Lucy/Lani.
Also, haven’t made it through all the heart-wrenching sadness over at Arghink for the last post, but am glad you will still blog, will miss your stories once you stop writing, and am trying not to cry over the puppies. Please give Lyle a belly rub for me & all his siblings as I don’t want them to be jealous.
Saturdays are better. I will have to rush home after church.
I’m v. happy with the shift. Thank you! And sending a lullaby wish for Jenny and a there, there for Lani. (And a glad you’re here to Alastair!)
Like the change and will be able to watch now. I hope you get some sleep soon, very soon.
sounds good to me! This shouldn’t be stressful, so whatever works for you guys, works for me.
Whatever works best for you guys is great with me. I hope the work, stress and sleepless nights ease up a bit for you all.
Some time back I mistakenly said that Helen Mirren was in the latest Indiana Jones movie– NOT. I conflated the Crystal Skull movie with National Treasure (Book of Secrets). Of the two, the second is better, which is saying something about the 4th Indie movie.
I’m just glad we’ll still get all of the wit, wisdom and wisecracks from the PopD anchors – I keep missing the chat because little D’s bedtime is at 7 – of course his nap time is at 2, but I know Sneakers well enough that I can push play, put him down, and still catch up. I’ve missed hanging out with everyone!!!!! Thank you for doing this even when your lives seem insane!
And I was all set to join you Friday with Sneakers, too.
I have to work this Sunday
*mutters* whydopeopleexpectthelibrarytobeopenonSunday?
But MOST weeks, Sunday is better for me than Friday.
And looking forward to Elmore Leonard’s Out of Sight week after next!
Confirming that Ocean’s 11 is starting at 11am EDT? (Ohio time?)
No, the chat starts at 1.30 and the movie at 2. Does it say 11 somewhere on the site? Did we say it on the last podcast? I’m a little paranoid now… ๐
Yes– it says it in the little “Coming Soon” block on the right. That’s the only way I can figure out what’s up next.
When you click on the name of the program, the time appears.
Here’s a link to the screenshot of what I see when I click on a title in the Coming Soon box:

I wondered if it was automatically adjusting for my local time (pacific time)
Ah, right — it adjusts for whatever your local time is. Sorry for the confusion, Molly!
