Romance: Was the story about the romance, did all the complications result from or hamper the romance, was the climax of the story the lovers’ commitment to each other? Did the romance ring true? Was the commitment at the end satisfying and believable?
Comedy: Was it funny, truly funny, laugh-out-loud funny?
Technical: Was the story well-constructed, the characters drawn carefully, the filming and editing done well?

This movie is such a bad rom com, it will haunt your dreams and kill your brain cells.
This movie has a couple of great rom com moments but in general is seriously flawed as a romantic comedy.
This movie is an okay romcom. You could do worse.
This movie is a close to perfect romcom but not quite there. Watch it anyway; perfect romcom is rare and this movie is a lot of fun.
